

Bill M. McDaniel, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 12, 2013. He was born in Hamilton on May 3, 1930, the son of Orbin and Emma Elizabeth (Miley) McDaniel. Bill received his education in the Hamilton City Schools. In 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge in 1952, he furthered his education in engineering. He spent his entire life as an avid inventor and was known for many inventions and prototypes. Bill was a lifetime member of the DAV and a member of AMVETS and of Benjamin Franklin Masonic Lodge #719. Bill was widely known for his playing of cards and a skilled master of card tricks. In 1951 he married Connie Nantz and on July 14th they celebrated their 62nd anniversary. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Kimberly, Miles “Moose”, Brett and Lori; grandchildren, William, Raquel (Jeff) and Abby; great-grandchildren, Kody and Aubry; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Orbin Jr. and Bill’s twin brother, James Robert; step-brothers, Jack and Earl Dean; and granddaughter, Courtney Nicole. A loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Avenue, Hamilton, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 12 noon till time of service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Edwin Beck officiating.
