Carla Jo Brittain

Carla Jo Brittain, age 64 of Liberty Township, passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Carla was born on April 14, 1960 in Harlan, KY, the daughter of the late Carlo and Christine (Owens) Brittain. She resided in Butler County and graduated from Lakota High School. Throughout her life, she was truly a jack of all trades – hairdresser, stand-up comedian, carpenter, artist, and housekeeper, just to name a few. Carla is survived by her siblings, Eddy (Faye) Brittain, Ruby Bales, Carlos (Brenda) Brittain, and Gary Brittain; nieces and nephews, Kim (Lu Smith) Poe, Scott (Angie) Brittain, Tammy Brittain, Heidi Brittain, Shelley (Billy) Howard, Rob (Rachael) Bales, Christina Brittain, Matt Brittain, Trevor Brittain, and Josh Brittain; godchildren, Jakob Poe and Izaiah Smith; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and friends too numerous to count. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Douglas Brittain; nephew, Carl Brittain; and sister-in-law, Patricia Brittain. The family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of Hamilton for all their loving care shown to Carla. A Celebration of Carla’s Life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton with Pastor Robert Nicely officiating.
