

Charles Estes Bishop, EMCS Ret., passed away October 4, 2015. He was born October 29, 1930, in Hamilton, Ohio. He served a career in the U.S. Navy as an Electricians Mate, serving aboard the U.S.S. Gherardi, U.S.S. Owl, U.S.S. Avenge and U.S.S. MacDonough, and retiring in 1967 with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. After retirement from the military, he settled back in Hamilton and worked as a maintenance supervisor at area factories including Aeronca, Nicolet, and Celotex. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Ann Bishop, parents, Andrew and Pairlee Bishop (Campbell), Sisters Ethel Deaton, Pearl Louise Bishop, Mary Lou Beissinger and Sherri Dorine Taylor, and a brother Edd Bishop. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ruth E. Bishop (Forsythe) of Hamilton, Ohio, one daughter, Lynda S. Richardson (Bishop) and her husband Steven C. of Jamestown, Tennessee, one son, Thomas Charles Bishop and his wife Elizabeth A. (Post) of Lebanon, Ohio, two granddaughters Stephanie Hollifield and her husband Casey, Sherri Reinhard and her husband Scott, two grandsons, Steven Charles Richardson II and Finnian Charles Bishop, great grandchildren Bryan, Casey Jr., Joshua, Jared, Jennifer, Liam & Clay, and a great great grandson, Aiden. A celebration of his life will be held at 7:30p.m., Wednesday, October 7th, at Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton 45011. There will be a visitation and the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until service time.
