David P. Batdorf

David Paul Batdorf, age 81 of Morning Sun, OH, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1944 in Hamilton, OH, the son of the late Paul and Helen (Heele) Batdorf. David served in the US Army from 1962 until 1964 and worked at AK Steel for many years. On December 16, 1993 in New Miami, OH, he married his wife of almost 32 years, Gladys M. “Cookie” Fowler. David is survived by his wife, Cookie Batdorf; sons, Scott (Linda) Batdorf, David (Janine) Batdorf Jr., and Josh (Ashleigh) Cravens; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Batdorf, Jordan (Sarah) Batdorf, Sarah (Joseph) Derosier, Jeremy Batdorf, Natalie (Kent) Seber, Willow Cravens, and Ellowyn Cravens; great-grandchildren, Jude, Sophia, and Alora; sister, Carol (George) Homan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dallas Batdorf; and brother, Gerald Batdorf. A Visitation will be held from 11am until 12pm on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, OH.
