Dolores Jean Haas (nee Hayden), 85, passed away on Wednesday February 12, 2025 at her daughters home, with family, in Hospice care. She brightened the life of all who knew her with her upbeat, positive and happy outlook on life.
Dolores was born on January 11, 1940 in Moscow, Ohio. She was the only living child of the late Elizabeth (Dick) and Harry Hayden. She was also preceded in death by her loving middle daughter, Susan. Dolores is survived by her other 2 daughters, Kim (Tom) and Tammy. She also has 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Her biggest enjoyments were bird watching at her feeders, tending to her rose bushes and flowers in garden beds and 6 window boxes on her deck.
Dolores moved back to Cincinnati, Ohio in January 2017 after spending 25 years in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to be close to her mother. She moved back to be close to family and friends. Dolores soon became a member at Trinity United Methodist church and enjoyed spending time with her church family.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday March 22, 2025 at 11:00am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5767 Wolfpen Pleasant Hill Road, Milford, Ohio with Pastor Kirk Peterson presiding. A luncheon in the fellowship hall will follow the service.
Dolores’s family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
