PETERS, Donald R. Age 76 of Fairfield was called home to be with his Lord on Sunday October 27, 2013. He was born January 22, 1937 in Hamilton the son of the late Willie and Gertrude (Wrenn) Peters. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 1956-1959. On June 10, 1960 he married Janet Fox in Metamora, Indiana. Mr. Peters worked for Ford Motor Company for 32 years as a machine repairman, retiring in 1991. He was an active member of the Lindenwald Baptist Church for 41 years. He was an avid fisherman and creative handyman with many hobbies. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Janet Peters. A loving and devoted dad to Laura (David) Freeman, Jennifer (David) Davis and Julie (Rick) Bennett, all surviving. He also leaves 6 precious grandchildren, Amanda (Philip) Cannady, Jacob Freeman, Emily and Natalie Davis, Laurel and Kendall Bennett. Mr. Peters is also survived by one brother Jerry (Pam) Peters of Hamilton; two sisters Vivian (Frank) Wren of Atlanta, Georgia and Carolyn Painter of Victor, Colorado; brother in law Andrew Olinger, and dear nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a grandson Zachary Freeman and a sister Lois Olinger. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
