Donna Jean Johnson, age 96 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. Donna was born on July 2, 1927 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Robert Leroy and Edith Marie (Baecker) Kerby. On November 15, 1947 in Hamilton, she married her husband of almost 54 years, Merle K. Johnson, who preceded her in death on September 11, 2001. Merle and Donna enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. In her later years, Donna loved watching her great-grandchildren play, doing crafts, and going to church. Donna is survived by her children, Butch Johnson, Paul (Pam) Johnson, Debbie (Michael) Senger, and Dean (Terry) Johnson; grandchildren, Brian, Robert (Rachel), Jeff (Deanne), Josh (Laurie), Brandon (Ashley), Tyler, and Meghan (Mike); and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edith; husband, Merle; and grandsons, Justin Johnson and Donnie Johnson. A Visitation will be held from 11am until 12pm on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will begin at 12pm on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Tye officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
