Doyle, Earl Layton Jr., age 82, of Fairfield Township, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born in Bardstown, Kentucky on May 14, 1942, to Earl Layton Doyle, Sr., and Sara Wanda Pash. He was a graduate of Bardstown Kentucky High School. Earl graduated from Western Kentucky University, where he was a member and commander of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Earl was a BG Ret. U.S. Army N.G. in Kentucky and completed 33 years of service. Family and friends will remember him fondly as “Smilin’ Jack”.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Earl is survived by his loving wife, Rikki; son, Michael S. Doyle (Laurie); daughter, Tracy E. Van Swol; sisters, Brenda Devine (Sam) and Betty Doyle; grandchildren Megan, Mason, Kyle, Sophie, and Max; sister-in-law, Marcy Stacy; niece, Allison Schaefer (Nick); nephew, Ryan Stacy, and mother-in-law, Betty E. Ferrel.
