Elsie Marie Howard

Age 81, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Tri-County Extended Care Center. She was born in Hamilton on September 25, 1931 the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Morris) Ledford. On September 16, 1950 in Hamilton she married Roy T. Howard, her husband of over 61 years. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2011. Elsie was a homemaker who volunteered with many handicapped organizations in Hamilton. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church. Elsie is survived by two sons, David Howard of Fairfield and Michael (Lori) Howard of Maineville; three daughters, Brenda (Dennis) Meyer of Fairfield, Kathy Theobald of Hamilton, and Emma Blevins of Fairfield; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her father, George Ledford; her mother Elizabeth (Benjamin) Province; and two sisters, Ruth Schockey and Marjorie Morningstar. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave., Hamilton, on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tim Briscoe officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
