Esther M. Bates age 80, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Tri-County Extended Care Facility. She was born on April 9, 1934 the daughter of the late Ernest and Minnie (Hammond) Kellams. Esther married Glenn Bates on October 8, 1960 in Richmond, Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Harry) Thurman, Hamilton, Pamala Bates, Hamilton and Priscilla (Walter) Taylor, Brookville, Indiana; sons David Kemp, Hamilton, Duke (Theresa) Kemp, Mason, Ohio and Donald Kemp, Hamilton; one brother, William (Nora) Kellams, Marion, Indiana; one sister Velma Lynch, English, Indiana and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Esther was also preceded in death by a sister Rosie Lynch.
