Etta M. Peck

Of Williamstown, KY, formerly of Oxford, Ohio, passed away on October 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 18, 1921 in Myrtle, Mississippi, the youngest of 9 children, to Joseph Perry Morgan and Sally Walls Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Cecil H. Peck; her daughter, Carol Elaine Ballinger; and grandsons, Michael, JR and Sean P. Doughtery. Etta is survived by her children, Donald Ray (Christina) Peck, Anita Louise Borges, James Cecil (Judith) Peck, Stephen Morgan Peck and Gary Paul (Ruby) Peck. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Etta and Cecil enjoyed many years of traveling after she retired from Miami University in 1982. She was a member of Stahlheber Road Baptist Church in Hamilton and later at Oxford Baptist Church and attended Lawrenceville Baptist Church. Etta and Judy Peck enjoyed many happy hours with dear friends at the Williamstown Senior Center. Visitation will be held from 2pm until 4pm on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:30am at the funeral home with her son, Chaplain Donald R. Peck officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Etta’s name to the Williamstown Senior Center, 400 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY 41097.
