Eunice Owens

OWENS, Eunice, age 89, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Botto, Kentucky on August 9, 1932 to Dorothy Eversole Marcum (Smith) and Abe Marcum. She was married on September 27, 1947 to Ernest Owens. They were married for 74 years. Eunice loved to cook and well known in the family for her fried potatoes. She was especially gifted at doing crafts and also loved to read mysteries and listen to the old radio programs like Fibber McGee and Molly. After retirement she enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a way of making each one feel special.

She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Clark Eversole; sister, Chloe Henson; son in law, Chris James.

Eunice is survived by her husband, Ernest Owens; daughters, Lois Harkins (Bobby), Helen James; grandchildren, Debra (Steve) Hensel, Robert (Mary) Harkins, Kristina (Micah) Arthur, Jason (Tonya) James; great grandchildren, Tyler (Heather) Harkins, Kelsey Harkins, Courtney (Heath) Coppenger, Hayden Arthur, Dylan Arthur; 3 great great grandchildren and soon to be 4th.

She was a member of West Side Christian Church. Eunice had a generous spirit and was loved by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until Services at Noon on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Pastor Dan Knisley will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Side Christian Church or to a charity of your choice.
