

Eva Ray, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Eva was born on August 16, 1928 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Edward and Nancy (Gibson) Whitaker. She married her husband of over 59 years, Raymond Wayne Ray on January 29, 1948 in Covington, KY, and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. Eva was a Realtor with Ray Taylor Real Estate for 18 years and a member of Calvary Church. She was a life member of the DAV, generous supporter of the National WWII Memorial in Washington, DC, a member of the Kassel Mission Society, but most importantly, she loved Hamilton. Eva never met a stranger and always wanted to help everyone. Eva had a heart of gold and always lived by Gods’ word. Eva loved the saying, "May God Keep You in His Tender Loving Care." Eva is survived by her daughter, Anita (Craig Reed) Benthein; granddaughters, Farrah (Steve) Gerber-Johnson and Jenna (Jason) Morningstar; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Gerber, Carson Johnson, Blake Morningstar, and Bryce Morningstar; brother, Ray (Pam) Whitaker; and life-long friend, Jeannie Hendren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sherry Lee Ray; sister, Edna Holstein; and son-in-law, Terry Benthein. A Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will follow at 1pm on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Uczen officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
