Floyd H. Sandlin

Floyd H. Sandlin, age 96 of Hamilton, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, December 29, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1927 in Burning Springs, KY, the son of the late Eli and America (McDaniel) Sandlin. On August 5, 1950 in Newport, KY, Floyd married his wife of 71 years, Gracie (Alcorn) Sandlin. He retired from Champion Papers after starting his career there in 1951. He was a member of Timberhill Baptist Church for many years where he also served as a Deacon, always stayed very active in his younger years, was hardworking, and played his guitar up until about 5 months prior to his passing. Floyd is survived by his siblings, Carson Sandlin and Jean Brown; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gracie; and siblings, John Sandlin, Eli Sandlin Jr, Larry Sandlin, and Velma Sapp. A Visitation will be held from 12pm until 1pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Timberhill Baptist Church, 144 Timber Hill Drive, Hamilton, OH 45013. A Funeral Service will begin at 1pm on Thursday at the church with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
