Frederick Wayne Woods

WOODS, Frederick Wayne “RICK”, age 82, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was born in Fort Sam Houston, Texas to William F. Woods and Margaret Rosabell Burnett-Jackson. Frederick retired after 20 plus years from the United States Army as a Sargent First Class. After retiring from the Army Rick worked for Cummins Engine, Intermarine USA, General Electric, Allison Gas Turbine, United Technologies-Norden Services, General Dynamics, Austin Powder, LTV Aerospace and Defense, AM General, Williams International, Perkins Engine, Toole US Army Depot, Chrysler Defense, his own company’s called One Stop Publications and Virtual Home Tours, as well as, being an Artist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rick is survived by his daughter, Diane C. Hobbs (Bill); son, William Frederick Woods; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Glenda F Woods-Wagstaff. He will be loved and cherished by a host of family, friends and neighbors.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gertrude the Great Roman Catholic Church; 4900 Rialto Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069 on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00 am, with Bishop Charles McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
