STRATMAN, Geneva B. age 93, of Hamilton, Ohio died Thursday August 16, 2012 at 5:13 a.m. at Woodlands of Hamilton. She was born on May 6, 1919 in Portsmouth, Virginia the daughter of Alfred Cavis and Hazel (Wilson) Barnes. She was educated in the Virginia Schools graduating from Wilson High School in 1937. She was employed at Seaboard Airline Railroad as a clerk. On August 25, 1951 in Virginia she married John C. Stratman. She was a member of Fort Hamilton Chapter #568 OES, Bona Court #8 LOSNA, Daughter of Nile, Ladies of Hamilton Shrine Club, Hamilton Nomads and Wanderettes and volunteer at Shriner's Hospital. She is survived by her husband John; daughter and son-in-law Priscilla and Mike Brown; grandchildren Cory M. (Michelle) Brown and Christopher M. (Jennifer) Brown; great- granddaughter Lillian Brown; also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Evelyn Mae Barnes; sisters Julia Mounie and Jean Lawrence; and brother Alfred C. Barnes.
