George H. (Jack) Lowes, 102, of Hamilton, passed away July 2, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Sharptown, Indiana on August 18, 1915 the son of Chalmus and Clara (Goble) Lowes. A World War II veteran, he served in the United States Navy. He was employed by the City of Hamilton for 43 years retiring as Superintendent of Water Production. A Mason, he was a lifetime member of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719 in Hamilton. He was also a past president of the Hamilton Big Blue Booster Association. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Joyce, his wife, June Lowes, his brother, Walter Lowes and his step-brother, Luther Horning. He is survived by his son, James (Janett) Lowes of Indianapolis, Indiana and many kind neighbors. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Colonial At Home and Hospice of Hamilton for providing wonderful care of Jack. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
