

GARDNER, Georgia Lee, age 86, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024. She was born in Johnson County, Indiana on December 8, 1937, to Audrey V. and William T. Brockman. Georgia went to Nineveh High School in Indiana where she met Woody, the love of her life. Georgia and Woody were married for 61 years and had 5 children.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles, walking, crocheting, painting ceramics, and playing the piano. She loved spending time with her family and visiting her friends at Frisch’s. In her younger years, Georgia was a dancer and worked at the hospital as a nurse’s aide. She never met a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Elwood Gardner; her son, David K. Gardner; and her sister, Carolyn Hooper.
Georgia is survived by her daughters, Kimberly S. Winters, Karen E. Horton (Benji), Kathleen D. Wyenandt (Jim); her son, Kelly D. Gardner; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; her sister, Frieda Lucas (Stanley); and her brothers, Jerry Brockman (Lillie), John Brockman (Zrinka). She will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 10:00 am until Funeral Services at 11:00 am at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Georgia’s nephew, Liam Hooper, MDiv, is officiating.
Memorial donations may be offered in her name to the American Heart Association or to the JDRF.
