

Jerry was born April 4, 1963 to Gene and Fran Jacoby in Cheshire, Connecticut. He joined three older sisters: Christina Jacoby Welsh, Jenifer Jacoby Woolf and JoEllen Jacoby Baugh; and his brother Gregory Jacoby. His family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire where Jerry attended pre-school and then to Westerville, Ohio where he began the Franklin program for the Developmentally Disabled. In 1974 the family moved to Hamilton, Ohio where Jerry happily attended Fair Acres School. At Fair Acres Jerry participated in Special Olympics for swimming, basketball, track and tennis often going to the statewide competition in Columbus.
As an adult, Jerry volunteered at Schroder manor for 20 years. In later years he worked at Good Will and attended Inside Out Art Workshops. He played tennis and enjoyed meeting his friends for weekly tennis.
Jerry was active in his church, St. Peter in Chains, and served as an alter server. He was a committed fan to the Cincinnati Reds, and the Bengals and enjoyed attending local sporting events for many years.
Jerry enjoyed living at Berkeley Square for the last six years. He felt the love and attention of his large family, many friends and neighbors. They in turn learned so much from the blessing of his life.
Memorials may be made to Queen City Hospice or Butler County MRDD.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:45 am on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Saint Peter in Chains, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
