James Kenneth Cooley

Age 78 passed away into 'Glory' on August 7, 2014 at his home in Fairfield. He was born September 2, 1935 in Trenton, MO, the son of Raymond and Melanie (Griesenger) Cooley. On May 5, 1962, James married Jeanette Conrad in Fairfield, OH. He served his country and community in the US Navy and later as a Fairfield Police Officer, retiring in 1988. Although James's service was important to others, nothing was more important to him than his family. He was steady, humble, committed and had an attention to detail which was respected by all who knew him. He was a simple man, an avid reader, with the Bible being his foundation and a faithful member of Lindenwald Baptist Church.

Mr. Cooley leaves behind his loving wife, Jeanette (nee Conrad) Cooley; Children, Maria (Mike) Mesler, Mary Cae (Johnny) Barnes and Maureen (Robert) Parrott; grandchildren, Brittni Meyer, Bryan Barnes, Brad (Beth) Barnes, Josh Meyer, Jacob Parrott, Jennifer Parrott, Alexis Pope, Madi Barnes and Gage Pope; and siblings, Gerry Rae Cooley and Raymond Cooley. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Charles "Chuck" Cooley and Metta Mullins.
