Jean McCabe

Age 90 of Burlington, North Carolina, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday July 31, 2016 at her residence. She was born on May 13, 1926 in Bellevue, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William P. and Catherine M. (Wulkot) Witt. On May 21, 1949 she married Donald C. McCabe and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2003. Jean was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church-Burlington and St. Julie Billiart-Hamilton. She was a secretary for Webb Funeral Home retiring in July of 1991 after 20 years. She is survived by her three children, Kathy (Dennis) Stinehelfer, Dennis McCabe and Tim McCabe; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Boyer, Susan (Fred) Coffrin and Daniel (Rachel) Stinehelfer; seven great grandchildren, Alex, Molly, Clara, Ella, Henry, Claudia, and Walter; and her sister Joan (James) Dorr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Monday August 8, 2016 at St. Julie Billiart Parish. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 7, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home.
