Jeffrey Scott Kelch was born January 10th 1981 in Hamilton, OH. While he spent time in Germany and Kentucky, Jeff lived the majority of his life in Hamilton. He was a charismatic and mischievous young man with a kind heart. He loved his family (especially his young daughter), he loved fishing, he loved his motorcycle, and he loved tinkering with computers and electronics. He earned his trade license in 2014 from Butler Tech and had lofty goals of following in his big brother’s footsteps. As is often the case though, life had other plans. Jeff died on Monday March 21st at his father’s home in Nashville, TN where he was temporarily living and working on his physical recovery. His death was as unexpected as it was sudden, but he was lucky enough to have spent his final days surrounded by family. We wish we’d had a chance to say goodbye, but we’ll never regret how much we loved him. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Janice Chism. He is survived by his father Terry (Brenda) Kelch, his step father Jimmy Chism, his older brother Clinton (Sarah) Kelch, his older sister Jesika (Rachel) Shriver-Kelch, his step-sister Ann Marie Legate, and his 12 year old daughter Kaydence Kelch; his “one and only.” He also leaves behind nieces and nephews; Shy, Wayne, Lincoln, Belle, and Eli. The family will hold a memorial service at Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park in Hamilton on Friday April 8th. Visitation with the family will start at 10am with the service starting at 11am followed by a brief graveside service.
