Joan was born on January 27, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Franklin and Christina (Castellano) Stidham. She graduated from Seven Mile High School in 1952. Joan married Roy Coffey in September of 1954. She was retired from Ft. Hamilton Hospital where she worked in the Accounting/Billing Dept. After she retired in 1996, Joan dedicated her time to her devoted husband, Roy, and they enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with friends. She enjoyed time with her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Joan was an active member of the Redeemer Church, where she belonged to the Quilting Group. She enjoyed quilting, crafting and flower gardening. Joan is survived by her husband Roy Coffey; son Mike Coffey; brothers, James (Carol) Stidham and Anthony (Diana) Stidham; sister-in-law, Karen Stidham; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rose Cooper Sprecher and her brother Francis Stidham. Visitation will be held on Friday September 28, 2018 from 11am to 1pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will follow at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park.
