Judith Lee Metzler

Judith Lee Metzler, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 3, 1949, in Hamilton, Ohio, Judy lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep love, and a joyful sense of humor.

In 1969, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Edward Metzler, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Judy was the proud mother of three children: Karl Metzler (Carla), Stephany Husemann (Charles), and Kurt Metzler (Iris). She was also a loving grandmother to Jacob Metzler (Madisynn), Abigail Metzler, and Sophie Metzler - her greatest joy was spending time with them and watching them grow.

Judy was the daughter of the late Russel and Dorothy Sterwerf, and the sister of the late Paul Sterwerf and Shirley Waits. Though she outlived her immediate family, the legacy of love and loyalty she inherited from them lived on through her own.

A talented gardener with a special affection for dahlias, Judy found peace and beauty in nature. Her yard was often filled with blooms that reflected her own quiet radiance. She had an infectious laugh and a light-hearted sense of humor that lifted the spirits of those around her. Though reserved by nature, Judy was always a steady and compassionate presence for anyone who needed her.

Judy’s greatest accomplishment was raising three strong, independent children of character and integrity. She was endlessly proud of them and the families they built. Her love, quiet guidance, and fierce devotion were the foundation of their lives - and will continue to guide them always.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ohio, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Judy are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy a garden in full bloom - just as Judy would have loved.
