

Marilyn was born in Big Creek, KY (Clay County) on March 31, 1927, to James and Mary (Collins) Bowling.
Marilyn was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church, where she dedicated her life to teaching for 47 years there. She also taught at Monroe Baptist Church for 15 years. Marilyn enjoyed buying/refinishing/selling antiques, fishing, gardening, playing the card-game “Pitch” and watching UK basketball.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her late husband of 50 years, Oscar Brashear of Liberty Township, OH; and their first-born son, James Jerel Brashear of Maineville, OH. She is survived by three sons: Lemuel of Hamilton, OH; David (Diane) of Maineville, OH; Tim (Vickie) of Morrow, OH; along with two daughters: Judy (Hobert) Deaton of Murfreesboro, TN and Fran of Cheviot, OH, as well as her daughter-in-law Marsha of Maineville, OH. Marilyn is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
