Marjorie Norris

Marjorie L. Norris, 93, left us to be with the Lord, October 4, 2017, in Hamilton. Marge was born at home in St. Petersburg, Florida, the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel Roberts Norris. In 1939, her parents moved the family to Hamilton, Ohio, where Marge lived with her twin sister for the rest of her life. In the late 1940's, Marge joined the Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority, where she made many lifelong friends. Marge was a survivor of the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire. She retired at age 69 from Western States Machine Company in Hamilton. After retirement, Marge did volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and Colonial, Marge was active in her church, helping in any way she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Darrell and Donald Norris, and twin sister, Marian Norris. She is survived by her niece, Nancy (Tom) Heyl; nephews, Larry Norris, Garry (Meiinda) Norris, and Dale (Brenda) Norris; great-nieces, Kelly Kroeger, MeKayla Norris and MeKenna Norris; great-nephews, Daniel Kroeger and Stephen (Donna) Kroeger. Her life was a full one, marked by the giving of herself to others. Those who knew her were better for the experience, and she will be greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Graveside services for the family will be held at a later date.
