

Mary F. (Elliott) Dunlap, age 88, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday April 2, 2012, at Mercy Franciscan Schroder. She was born November 19, 1923, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky to the late Talton and Anna (Hightower) Elliott. On December 24, 1946, she married her husband of 22 years, Hugh “Bud” Dunlap, who preceded her in death in 1968. In the early years of her career, she worked at Champion Papers and later as an accountant for the Kroger, Copaz, and John Morrell companies. Mary truly loved to be surrounded by family and long-time friends, especially her many card club friends and Myrtle Beach friends. She was a member of the Hamilton Fairfield Newcomers Club and Sterling Silvers. Mary was the heart of her family and was always ageless in spirit. The true love of her life was her granddaughter, Amber Marisa Cummins-Fore with whom she was best friends. Mary’s legacy will most definitely live on through Amber. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Marcia and son-in-law Robert Cleaver, with whom she resided with for the past 25 years in Fairfield; her loving granddaughter, Amber and her husband Phillip Fore and great-grand dog, Bailey, (whom she loved to spend time with) of Fairfield; step-granddaughter, Stephanie and her husband Nick Colegrove and three step-great-granddaughters, Delaney, Dacey and Dempsey of Hilliard, Ohio; two- brothers-in-law, William Dunlap of Springfield, Ohio, and George Wallace of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Elliott of Walton, Kentucky and Frances Elliott of Fairfield; and many other nieces, nephews and family members that traveled from all over the country to visit with her often and always put a smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, “Bud” Dunlap; two sisters, Marie Wallace and Grace Bonar; and eight brothers, Theodore, Winifred, Alvin, Walter, Ralph, John, Ezra, and David Elliott. The family would like to thank the outstanding 4th floor staff at Schroder and Hospice of Cincinnati for their loving care and compassion. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Ave. at South “D” Street, Hamilton, at 11am on Saturday, April 7, 2012, with Dr. John Lewis, of The Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Family and friends will be received prior to the service from 9:30am to 11am at the funeral home.
