Michael "Buddha" Hernandez

Michael “Buddha” Hernandez, 67, of Trenton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the Atrium Medical Center. Born on December 1, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Michael was the beloved son of the late Felix Hernandez and Bibiana (Gonzales) Hernandez. He spent his career working with Sears Automotive, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Outside of work, Michael was a passionate Harley-Davidson rider and an enthusiastic Lego builder, often finding joy in both the roar of the road and the quiet focus of creativity. Michael is survived by his lifelong partner, Melissa Streit; his daughter, Nikki Eastman; and his cherished grandchildren, Travis Jr., Herbert, and Isiah Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters, Guadalupe Cerda and Martina (Jerome) Seidita, along with nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Buddha”, Jose, Sergio, Cervando, Danny, Letty, Marcus & Emilia and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gregory Hernandez. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home.
