Pauline "Polly" B. DeLaney Jones

Pauline “Polly” B. Jones, age 88 of Middletown, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born on September 10, 1924 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Esby Sim and Katherine (Potts) DeLaney. On August 23, 1941 in Hamilton, Pauline married her husband of 61 years, Shelby Robert Jones, and he preceded her in death in 2002. She was a Nurse’s Aide at Fort Hamilton Hospital, retiring after 20 years of service. Pauline was a member of Washington Chapter O.E.S. and a past President of Ladies Auxiliary K.T. 41 Hamilton Commandery. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Staton and Patricia (Mike) Staton; grandchildren, Paula (Rod) Middleton, Charles Thomas, Shelley Thomas, Jeffrey Morris and Michael A. Staton; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rosalie DeLaney and Susan Wilhoit; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Shirley and Clyde Williams; and her beloved dogs, Levi and Stormy. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Allen Staton; grandson, Stewart Morris; and siblings, Lucille, Francis, Flora, Marie, Roberta, Gloria and Esby Sim, Jr.. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Pastor Gary Ashley officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2pm until 4pm at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service at 3pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline’s name to Elizabethtown First Church of God, 8900 Chamberlain Road, Franklin, OH 45005.
