

Raleigh Campbell of Pleasant Shade, TN passed away on March 15th 2018, he was 86 years old. Raleigh (RC) was born in Confluence, KY on August 31st 1931 to Willie D. and Doshia (Wooton) Campbell. In 1946 his family moved to Hamilton, OH. He enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Korean War 1954-1956. After discharge, he met and married Gaybe Louise Anderson on July 7th 1957. He was a carpenter by trade and built many houses in the Hamilton area. In 1967 he moved his family to Phoenix, AZ where he continued to work as a carpenter. In 1968 he went to work for Del E Webb Development Co. where he remained for 30 years building Sun City and Sun City West, AZ. RC was an active church member and was instrumental in the building of North Hills Church of God where he had numerous close friends. RC enjoyed working on mission trips to Hope Hill, KY and Barbados. He was known for his laughter, jokes and his love for helping others. He enjoyed fishing and watching Fox News. His mastery of storytelling was enjoyed by all. He was a man who loved God, family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Gaybe L. (Anderson), a sister Molly Bowman of Hamilton, OH, Sons Ken Campbell and John Campbell (Marcellia) of Phoenix, AZ, 7 grandchildren, Joshua Campbell (Emily), Talena Coffey, Benjamin Campbell and Kelli Johnston (Wesley) all of Phoenix, AZ, Isaiah Campbell (Jamie) of Gallatin, TN, Jacob Campbell, Rebekah Barlow (Zack) both of Carthage, TN and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his Mother-in-law Dorothy P. Anderson of Hamilton, OH and daughter-in-law Laura Campbell of Phoenix, AZ. Visitation will be at Ivey Funeral Home on Monday March 19th from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 20th at 2:00 PM, Ivey Funeral Home.
