Ralph Lynn Robinson, also known as "Skinny", was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Ralph passed away peacefully at his home in Fairfield Township, surrounded by family. He was diagnosed with cancer in February 2014. Ralph was born April 9, 1935 to Jesse Dale Robinson and Hilda Mae Burk Robinson. Ralph grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953. On February 27, 1960, he married Elsa Wilmott, and together they enjoyed 54 happy years. To the marriage was born two daughters, Tracia and Tricia, girls he loved dearly. He worked in the Hamilton area for almost 30 years before moving to Orlando, Florida in 1982 where he started his own successful trucking business. He and Elsa also owned a gift shop, Wood Peddlers. Never completely retired, Ralph was always busy traveling, restoring vintage cars, and spending time with family and friends. After deciding to "see the USA" they bought a motorhome and traveled the country, eventually returning home to Hamilton, Ohio. Eight years ago, Ralph and Elsa bought a second home, in Fairfield Township, where they would spent six months each year. Nicknamed "the little blue house", this became the place for friends and family to gather nightly, where they pitched corn hole, worked jigsaw puzzles, and told stories. Ralph was a man of strong faith who not only professed it, but lived it. He was honest, hard working, loyal, and a true friend - one who was always willing to help someone else. His priorities were God, family, friends and country. Ralph had many friends locally, friendships maintained from high school, church, and working at Walter Follmer, Inc. He loved people and people loved him. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Lloyd Odus Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Elsa, daughter Tracia (Tracey) and Chris Williams of Oviedo, FL, daughter Tricia and Michael Pridemore of Marietta, GA, grandchildren Katelyn Ledford, Morgan Williams, Sydney Williams and Zac Williams; his sister Freda Yvonne Kitts (married to Clyde Kitts) of Winter Haven, FL, and sister Phyllis Ann Hester of Haines City, FL; plus many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by not only his family but also many friends.
