Robert W. Ramsey, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He was born in Middletown on December 15, 1931 to James and Georgia (Trosper) Ramsey. On March 26, 1954, he married Nancy Ruhlman. Robert was employed at Hamilton Casters for 22 years and retired in 1998. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korea Conflict and was a Purple Heart recipient. Robert was active with the VFW Post 1069 and the American Legion Post 138.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Ramsey, daughters Lisa (Bob) Daniel and Kenda (Allen) Kanta and son Doug (Donna) Ramsey; grandchildren Mishelle (Matt) Lawless, Ronnie Cunagin, Cory Daniel, Zachary Kanta, Nathan Kanta and Hayley Kanta; great granddaughter Lexie Zale and great grandson Blake Lawless; sister Joyce (Ballard) Blount. He was preceeded in death by his parents.

Robert was very dedicated to his family. He had great enjoyment attending his kids and grandchildrens ' sporting events. He was proud to work for Hamilton Casters, only missing one day of work out of his 22 years of service to the company. Robert was a proud veteran in the United States Marine Corp.
