EVANS, Stella age 70 of Hamilton, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was born in McKee, Kentucky on October 5, 1943 to William Carl and Hazel (Marcum) Lee. On July 1, 1960 IN Hamilton she married James E. Evans, and they were happily married for 53 years. Stella loved to travel, was extremely generous to everyone, and was peacemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Stella was an angel on earth and now is an angel in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, James E. Evans; son, Truett (Kim) Evans; daughter, Melissa Evans Smith; 8 grandchildren, Curtis Smith, Jessica Smith, Jacob Smith, Justin Ward, Brittany Evans, Brittany Cress, Monte Cress, and Kasey Evans; great-grandchildren, Andrew, JJ, Sebastian, and Alaura; sisters, Ruth (Delmer) Whitesell and Elizabeth (Mike) Hubbard; brothers, Alfred Lee, Pearl (Dema) Lee, and Eugene (Pam) Hurley; sister-in-law, Janice Merrill; special friend, Ernie Smith, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Evans; brothers, Earl Lee, Herman Lee, and Bobby Hurley; father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Margaret Evans; sisters-in-law, Pauline Evans and Pauline Evans, and Barbara Lee; and her parents.
