Wanda (Bowman) Spurlock, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away after a lengthy struggle that exemplified her fortitude. Instead of being self-indulgent with her own interests, she donated her time to consoling and supporting those she knew and loved. A retired paralegal, avid reader and Reds fan, she was a true matriarch and source of unconditional love. She will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Spurlock, Sr., and brothers Raymond Bowman and Dale Guynes. She is survived by her children Ken Spurlock Jr., Kathy Spurlock (Kris), and Kristi Flannery; siblings Harry (Jo) Bowman, Jr., Hugh (Pam) Guynes Jr., Wayne (Joan) Bowman; Marlene Teeny Guynes; Pam Bowman; grandchildren Kenneth Casey Spurlock and Hailee Flannery; great grandchildren Aidan and August Spurlock; her "favorite cousin" Jane Hammons; and special friends Roxie Bates and Patty Stang; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A private memorial gathering will take place in June at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.webb-noonan.com for the Spurlock family.
