Wilton C Rose

Wilton ”Wil” C. Rose 90 of Florence, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Wil was preceded in death by his beloved Mary Rose in 2010 after 50+ years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his mother Edna Rose, brother Ray Rose, sister Nancy Rose.

Wil leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Sandy Rose, granddaughters Emily Jarman, Jenny Hogan, and wife Judith Rose. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather to Kadie, Jason and Kavan, affectionately know as “Papaw”. He also loved poodles and is survived by his poodle Buddy.

He was a hard working Christian man. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky, and his Masters degree from Xavier University. He was a teacher at Northern Kentucky Vocational School and high school teacher at Dixie. He was very proud in being able to place 850 students into data processing jobs. Many of students loved him and recognized him even later in life, which always made him feel proud. Wil was a competitive swimmer for many years, and many people knew him from swimming a mile a day at the YMCA.

Wil’s family will receive friends at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 starting at 1:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm. Will be interred in the mausoleum next to his beloved Mary.
