It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Zyrada Meade Fox, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many. Zyrada rejoined with the Lord on June 13, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and inspiration that will forever remain in our hearts. Zyrada was born on May 9, 1920, in Jackson County, Kentucky, to George and Ida (Ledford) Meade. Alongside her twin brother Ralph Meade, she embarked on a journey that led the family to Hamilton, Ohio in 1930, where she was raised alongside her four siblings. Zyrada united in matrimony with the love of her life, William Anderson Fox, on September 16, 1938, in Brookville, Indiana. Together, they welcomed their son Ralph Marvin on October 29, 1940, and their daughter Karen Sue on March 24, 1944. While raising her family in Hamilton, Zyrada worked at Champion Paper. She wholeheartedly served God as a minister's wife at New Zion Baptist Church for an incredible 31 years. Later, Zyrada and Anderson relocated to Norwood, Ohio in 1967, where they continued their devotion to God at New Bethel Baptist Church. During their journey from 1966 to 1976, they rejoiced in the arrival of six grandchildren. In their retirement years, Zyrada and Anderson settled in Fairfield, Ohio, where they continued their faithful service at North Hamilton Baptist Church. Zyrada embraced life with immense passion and lived it to the fullest. She embarked on adventures around the world alongside her beloved husband and family. She found joy in the arts of sewing, knitting, and gardening. Above all, her greatest delight came from spending time with her family and friends, illuminating every gathering with her quick witted humor. Zyrada's unwavering faith in Jesus, her inner strength, resilience, and the support of her family sustained her through the painful losses of her son, Ralph Marvin Fox, on October 23, 1993, and her husband, William Anderson Fox, on August 2, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Meade and Zethel Meade, her sisters Edith Barnette, Mable Roberts, and Zelma Hurley, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law.
