Abe Roza

Beloved husband of Linda (nee Sikkema) for 48 years. Loving father of Abraham and Amy Roza, Nick and Mallorie Roza, Melissa and Adam Bosscher. Cherished grandpa of Carter, Chelsea, Leo, John, Georgia, Hailey, Scarlett, Raelyn and Lacey. Dear brother of Eve Buikema (the late Bert) and John Roza. Predeceased by his mom Ruby and his father John. Abe will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Abe started his career as an apprentice plumber, moved on to mechanics, taught night classes at Mohawk, Bosch Automotive and during retirement drove a school bus and worked at Enterprise. He enjoyed working and learning new things and made many friends along the way. He was a devoted husband and father, who enjoyed time with Linda, traveling in their Road Trek from the Grand Canyon to Alaska to Newfoundland and places in between. He was always interested in what was happening in his children’s lives. He loved his grandkids and never missed an opportunity to be present at a special activity or watching online. He was passionate about his Church and church family, serving when and where he could. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Ebenezer Canadian Reformed Church (607 Dynes Road, Burlington) on Wednesday, January 1 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the church on Thursday, January 2 at 11:00 a.m. with internment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health at St. Joseph’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
