Alexander Grant

Passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the age of 95. We rejoice that our dad and grandpa is reunited with our mom, his dear wife Emma, his son Douglas and his daughter Sonia. Alex and Emma enjoyed their large, loving family including: Doug (deceased) and Sharon Grant, Joan and Doug Booth, Paul and Sonia (deceased) Grant, Janice and David Kirk, Sharon and Bryan Cain, Donald and Wendy Grant. Alex was a proud grandpa to 30 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren who loved him dearly. Alex served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WW2 and was and employee of Neeco Industries until his retirement. He faithfully served the Lord for many years as an elder at West Fifth Bible Chapel. The Family appreciates the loving, compassionate care for our Dad by all the staff at St. Peter’s at Chedoke - Garland Terrace.

Visitation will take place at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME “UPPER JAMES” CHAPEL, 1020 Upper James Street, Hamilton on Tuesday, January 3rd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. There will be a private internment on Wednesday, January 4th at 11 am.

All are welcome to a Celebration of Dad’s life on Wednesday, January 4th at 7 pm at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 61 Mohawk Road West. If desired, donations to “New Tribes Missions” for Derek and Sarah Grant would be appreciated by the family.
