

Passed away peacefully September 9, 2015 at the age of 88, surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton. He was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Wanda. Predeceased by his mother Sofia (1983), his father Stepas (2002) and his brother Liucius (1998). Survived by his sister Rita and Rasa and sister-in-law Ida of Hamilton. Forever cherished by his Goddaughter Susan Sileikis, Godsons Lou (Penny) Ulbinas, Robert Kurpeikis, Eric (Mary Ann) Mitrikas as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand-nephews. Sadly missed by his loving niece Irena (Howard) Craig and Aldona Mitrikas. He will be fondly remembered by his close friends and relatives in Lithuania. He was a Choir Leader and organist in Wasaga Beach and in St. Pete's, Florida. In his younger days he was a performer with the Lithuanian drama group "Aukuras" and the Lithuanian dance group "Gyvataras". He worked for 25 years at Dofasco. Visitation will be at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. E., Hamilton, on Friday, September 11th from 5-9 pm. Rosary and prayers at 7:00 pm. On Saturday, September 12th at 10:00 am visitation at Lithuanian Martyrs Church, Mississauga followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. The burial is at St. John's Lithuanian Cemetery in Mississauga.
