On October 17, 2010 with family by her side at Arbour Creek in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Ivan for 57 years. Extraordinary and much loved mother of Mary Jurkas (Joe), Goldie Saric (Ivan) and Cathy Mezzalira (Gerry). Cherished Baba of Rick (Lily), David, Mark, David, Matthew, Eric and Taylor and great "Baba Ana" of Maya and Ana. Dear sister of Alojz (Marica) Grguric and their family and sister in law of Mijo Persin and family, Josip Persin and family and the late Alojz Persin and family. She will be dearly missed by her relatives in Canada, Croatia and USA. A special thanks to the nurses at Arbour Creek for the wonderful care and compassion and for making our mother's final journey a comfortable one.
The family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E., on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with interment following in Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery in Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society would be appreciated.
