KUZYK: Andrew “Andy”: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andy Kuzyk after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday March 10th 2022 at the age of 59. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his sisters. Andy is predeceased by his parents William (1995) and Mary (2014). Dear brother of Rose Lawson (Wayne) and Euly McMahon. Cherished uncle of Amanda (Grant), Bruce (Tricia), and Megan. Andy will also be missed by his co-workers and friends from his baseball and bowling leagues. He was a longtime dedicated employee of Longo’s Supermarket where he made many lasting friendships. Andy was a true Hamilton Tiger Cats fan for over 40 years, attending every home game. He also went to the Forge FC games, and was a Montreal Canadiens hockey fan. Andy was very active playing for two baseball house leagues during the summer, an avid 10-pin bowler in the fall in two leagues, and spent many hours in the summer tending to his large vegetable garden. He will be remembered for the kindness and generosity he showed to everyone he met. Many thanks to Bayshore Home Health (Dee), and the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital, and St. Peter’s Hospital, for their care and compassion during his battle with cancer. Visitation for Andy will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King St E. Hamilton, (at the Delta) on Tuesday March 15th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Andy’s life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday March 16th at 11:00 a.m. Social distancing is encouraged, and masks are required. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. Special memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.tbdfuneralchapel.com.
