

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Duncan Matwychuk, a beloved member of her community well known for her kind, loving & caring personality towards others. Born on December 18th, 1942, in Scotland, Anne lived a full, beautiful life filled with wonderful memories travelling the world with her family. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at 3:33am on October 5th, 2024.
Anne spent many years of her life as a travel agent, owning an Expedia Cruise Ship Centre in Ancaster/Dundas with her family and later booking group members & organizing events for the family travel business Run For Fun Cruise Tours. She adored having the opportunity to travel, and particularly loved cruising, setting sail on over 50 luxury ocean liners exploring all parts of the world. Anne also loved all things Disney, visiting Walt Disney World more than 40 times with her family.
Anne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Michael Matwychuk, her daughter Kimberley Newton, her grandson Trent Newton, her brother Stewart Potter & his wife Bev Potter, her niece Joanne Waite and nephew Drew Potter. She is predeceased by her mother & father Georgina & Eric Potter, and her brother Billy Potter. She was also a proud mother to her fur baby Frannie, her beloved Chihuahua.
Anne’s family is blessed to have created decades of incredible memories with her. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Sunday, October 27th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
