Beloved husband of the late Sofija. Loving father of John Hlacar (Ljubica) and the late Tony Antun Hlacar (the late Zlata). Cherished grandfather of Rudy Hlacar (Lillian), Tony Hlacar (Mary), Marianne Barkovich (Dave) and Johnny Hlacar (Angie). Great-grandfather of Holly (Josh), Jordan, Virginia, Matthew (Alexandra), Joshua, Luke, Hailey and Jadyn. Great-great grandfather of Mila and Luna. Dear brother of Theresa Horvat (the late Frank) and family, Olga Bergant (the late Felix) and family, the late Ivan Vincec (the late Cila) and family, the late Stefan Vincec and family, the late Rozina Rebrica and family. Special thanks to the staff at Juravinski Hospital and Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their compassionate care. He will be dearly missed by many friends in Slovenia, Croatia, United States and Canada. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, September 21 from 5-9 pm with Prayers at 5pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church, 125 Centennial Parkway North, on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10 am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations in Anton’s memory may be made to St. Gregory the Great Church or Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
