Back in the 1970's i had the great pleasure of meeting Al at Adam Clark Co. just a great person and worked with Al many times over the years, and it was always a pleasure. Cathy and I were fortunate to have Al as our photographer at our wedding he did wonderful pictures and kept the bridal party at calm during the picture taking time.
   Al was just the greatest person to know.

Deepest condolences to the family on the passing of Armand. A good man with a great character.  I was honored to have known him for he made all those around him better people. Me and my pal Al. He was truly a friend that I will always remember. Love and condolences to Helen and all his family and friends.

In nice weather we would often bring a drink and snack to Bayfront Park to watch the comings and goings of geese, ducks, boats and people. Al especially loved the sailboats.

The rose garden at Gore park. Al was very photogenic and didn't mind a bit posing for a picture.

Most of our walks were to Gore park. He loved watching dogs, children(especially babies)and the squirrels.  His favorite saying was, "Well, isn't that something!" Al greeted everyone with a nod or a wave. So friendly!

As Al's Wednesday afternoon companion for almost three years,I learned to care greatly for him as a kind, caring, selfless gentleman.  We were comfortable chatting as much as we relaxed in silence. I'll always remember sitting on his front porch listening to the oldie Goldie's, especially rock and roll. Al's foot tapping and his hand keeping time on his knee.

Evan and I grew up sailing at RHYC. Though we were a few years apart and on different race teams, we often hung out at the club and through that, I was introduced to Al. I ended up selling my Optimist Dinghy to Evan for him to race for a few seasons. Al was the guy who bought the boat. He and Evan came to my parents’ house to inspect the boat and completed the transaction. From then on, we remained in touch, and I even had Evan as a student later in my coaching years, with Al dropping him off and chatting. Always a great conversationist and a great guy. A jovial sea dog with a charm.

We are saddened to hear about Al passing. It was always a pleasure to see him when Helen and him visited you. He was a classy guy and always friendly to us.  Sending our condolences to you all. Love Michelle and John, Maddy, Justin , and Hannah.

The greatest poppa anyone could ever ask for. Though you're gone, the lessons you taught me will forever be etched in my heart.
I'll miss your stories, your laughter, and the way you always made me feel loved.  You were always willing to give a helping hand.
You were more than just a grandpa; you were a mentor, my best friend and a true inspiration. I know you will watch over us as we grow older and I know you’ll be proud. You were always dressed to the nines and a true gentleman. 
Rest in peace, Captain.
