Barbara was a devoted mother to Joe Baic (Susan), a loving grandmother to Jennifer and Michael (Alanna), and a proud great-grandmother to Lexi, Ayla, and Aria. She was predeceased by her dear sister Ana Rahija and will be fondly remembered by her nieces Mary, Kathy, and Nancy.
Barbara had a deep love for gardening, especially known for her impressive tomatoes grown from seeds she lovingly brought over from Croatia. Her green thumb and nurturing spirit will be dearly missed.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Grandview Lodge in Dunnville and Haldimand War Memorial Hospital for the compassion and care shown to Barbara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Visitation will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11 a.m., followed by cremation.
