Beloved mother of (Stacey) Alexandra Brown (late Paul Brown) and Kathryn Stewart (Jerome Stewart). Devoted Nana of Devon, Benjamin, Tashiya, Meaghan, Desiree, Kristian, and Alexis. New Great-Nana of Laylah and Lucas. With a great sense of humour, a sharp mind, and remarkable integrity, Mom left her mark on this world in the relationships she built and nourished with all of us. We are all better people for having known her.

Our family would like to express our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff of Juravinski’s Hematology Clinic and the ODS for their understanding and care these last dozen years.

And to the staff who became family at Macassa Lodge, your compassion and genuine love for Mom, and your dedication to and support of our efforts and wishes went above and beyond anything anyone could measure with a job description. You gave our Mom the dignity and care we feel she deserved, and our gratitude cannot possibly be overstated.

The family will host a Celebration of Barbara’s Life at a time and place yet to be determined. We ask that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the giver’s favourite charity in Barbara’s name.
