Barbara Theresa Murray

With family by her side, passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on June 29, 2016 at the age of 74. Reunited with her parents Thomas and Annie, her dear sister Violet, husband Elgan (1989) and her precious grandson Zachary (2013). Dear companion of John Morrow. Cherished best friend and mother of Jean Walker and her husband Lloyd. Treasured nana of Tyler and her “adopted” granddaughter Karen Joy. She will forever live on in the hearts of her nephew Brian, extended family and friends. A hard working mother, wife with a savvy business mind, she was a long time employee of Mary’s Truck Stop in Burlington. After many years of dedicated service, she eventually purchased the Business and made it prosper for more than 15 years until her retirement. During those 25 plus years she was an ear to bend, a friendly smile and an extended mother to many. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday July 4th from 5-9pm. Where the funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at 11am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
