Barbara Tulawattee Persaud

Barbara left this world on December 14, 2025 at the age of 73 and is predeceased by her mother, father, spouse, brother and several close relatives and friends.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her eight siblings, children Kevin (Anh) and Prem (Miles) along with her three grandchildren, Anjali, Ajay and Kai whom she loved beyond measure.

Barbara left Guyana, South America in 1974 to pursue an education in nursing at Mohawk College in Hamilton and spent several fulfilling years primarily working on Continuing Care at St Joseph’s Hospital Hamilton.

Barbara made many valued friendships along the way and was often known for her kind and thoughtful heart, straight forward advice and willingness to help anyone and everyone that she could.

Many thanks to the Stonechurch Family Health Team, Dr Ivanyi, many doctors who supported along the way and most recently the Hamilton General Neurotrauma ICU team for their end of life care and compassion during this difficult time.

Family will receive loved ones for a funeral service and visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, Fennell Chappell on Thursday December 18, 2025 from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Cremation to follow at Holy Cross, Paris, Ontario. Refreshments will be provided at Pelara House, 50 Nebo Road, Unit 2 Hamilton, Ontario.
