Bertha Anne Battersby

Bertha Anne Battersby passed away at Macassa Lodge on Wednesday August 22nd,2012, in her 86th year.  She was predeceased by her loving mother and father Anne and Thomas and brother Roger Battersby.  She will always be loved and missed by her children Glen, Chris, Lesley and son and daughter- in- law Blake and Diane.  She was a loving Grandmother to Aaron, Meagan, Ryan, Kera, Jason, Jason, and Melissa.  She was also a loving Sister-in-law to Donna Battersby and Aunt to Tracy, Wendy, Greg and Patty-Dawn.  Bertha was a member of the Woman’s Art Institute.  She was an amazing artist with work exhibited at the Botanical Gardens and Hamilton Art Gallery.  She will be remembered for her indelible spirit and compassionate heart.  Mom we can’t picture a better setting for you than your easel set up in the Gardens of Heaven with your loving family around you.  Until we meet again we will miss and love you always.  We would like to thank our friends for their support and,  the staff at Macassa Lodge for the extraordinary care, compassion and kindness that they showed us all.  It was a privilege to have met you.   A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at 2 p.m.
