

She was born 18 February 1937 in Cuba to Maude and Phillip Savage. Her family moved to the island of Jamaica when she was a baby. Beryl met the love of her life, Rapheal Homrah Young in 1955, and they got married shortly thereafter, and remained married for over sixty years. They moved to England in 1957 to pursue their dreams. Beryl worked for the London Transit System, which was a high paying job for immigrants. She enjoyed her job and helping others whenever she could. In 1968 Beryl and the late Rapheal moved to Canada and lived the rest of their lives. Beryl found meaningful work as a health care aide at St. Peter’s Hospital. Her siblings include, the late Roslyn Bernard, Stanny Savage, Santy Savage, she is survived by her brother Henry, Burke and two sisters, Maudling and Dahlia, many nieces and nephews. Beryl was a kind and giving lady that was most proud of her contributions that made it possible for other family members to find new opportunities in Canada. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
